- Your business is likely already on the directory and you just need to verify you are the owner – the first thing you should do is search to see if your business is already listed. If you don’t find it, you can add your information from scratch (Note – you’ll need to login in order to do this).
- Once you input (or verify) the information (it’s a simple and quick 2-step process), we need to verify that you are the business owner (or that you are claiming the page on behalf of the business owner). We don’t want to submit invalid information about the business, so we ask that the business owner verify they authorized the request. We like to chat with the owner on the phone, but we’ll also accept an email from the business owner. Ideally, this email is from their “real” email address (e.g. from the same domain that the business website is from). We won’t reject gmail, yahoo or other emails, but we may ask a few additional questions to make sure it’s really you.
- Once we get verification in Step 2, we’ll approve your listing. At this point, you want to add additional info – a business description, hours of operation, website, phone numbers, social network links, etc. All of this is explained in the approval email that is sent to the email you logged in with. Make sure this is an email address you actually check! If you setup a temporary email you will miss out on this step, which is actually the important step to get your NAP (Name/Address/Phone) and other Local SEO schema data just right.We do add you to our mailing list, which means you get a weekly email from us.
